Be good at what you do. If you're already good be better. Take a class, earn a certification, or just read a book. Whatever your purpose find yourself the opportunity to serve others something of value. Don't forget to serve yourself in the process. Leaders are constantly seeking wisdom wherever they can find it and relish in the opportunity to share it with others.

17. Watch some television. What's your favorite television program? Do you like comedies, dramas, reality TV, educational TV, the news? Find something on the tube that inspires you or makes you feel better and watch a bit of it. Don't spend too much time here. A few hours should suffice. I love educational programs, and shows I can learn from such as National Geographic, the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and the Travel Channel. I'm also a huge fan of some of those documentaries and reality TV shows on cable that take you behind the scenes of certain businesses. Shark Tank is also one of my faves. Find your faves and kickback to watch some TV.

For example, check out the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UC Davis which has presented with the group. You can volunteer and avoid paying the hefty ticket fee to hear the speakers. As a volunteer, you can listen to the inspirational ideas in the TEDx style conference format. After all, TEDx Sacramento is one of the first TEDx groups around.

Jessica has done a 180 on What Not to Wear, going from low self esteem to "I'm flippin' hot." Wearing a purple print blouse, black skirt and heels, Jessica admires herself in the mirror while Stacy and Clinton compliment her transformation.

Continuing education plays a big role in keeping your skills current. Fans consume entertainment very differently now than they did when Madonna started topping the charts. MTV videos and the radio were the only games in town then. Now musicians compete online, with iPads, iPods, satellite radio, social media, DVD audio, etc. so you have to stay up on all the current formats and distribution vehicles. In business you should regularly attend trade shows, conferences, read trade journals, white papers, blogs, watch Another TED member connecting with Kruse, etc. to keep up with the latest trends, tools and technologies in your category.

This list was compiled by popular vote. New inventions didn't capture the people's imagination. This is a real pity. People are imagining and creating some amazing new modern 'wonders'. The talk by Jonathan Harris at the TED conference certainly took my breath away. He demonstrated several projects he had worked on recently.

Now practice thinking for twelve minutes. Set a timer and write for twelve minutes. Read for twelve minutes and notice how many thoughts twelve minutes can hold. Go for a twelve minute walk or do twelve minutes on the treadmill. Set a timer for twelve minutes and enjoy a long hot shower. Relax and enjoy the sensation for twelve full minutes.

Might it now be time to openly question the value of a college education? With the walloping non-stop increase in tuition costs, it sure seems like we've entered an education bubble that will leave many in mega debt with no prospect for even an ho-hum career. Latest reports indicate that 53% of recent college grads are either unemployed or working at a job that does not require a college degree. There are more than 100,000 janitors in the U.S. with college degrees and 16,000 parking lot attendants.

What Not to Wear saves the best for last as Jessica appears in a silk shift dress with blocks of royal blue and teal color separated by a bold gold pattern and thick black band at the waist. With the cut out in the back and the stunning print, Clinton declares it a modern take on a vintage feel, which works better than the straight vintage dress Jessica had on in the 360.

Since each speaker talks for 18 minutes, you won't be overwhelmed with long-winded talkers who ramble about their past or promote their works as a tool. Instead, you'll hear about innovation and changing the world as in caring, repairing, and sharing.
